Couples seeking colonial charm
You guys, I had this unexpected moment when I ended up chatting with one of the staff, a real gem named Gaby. She not only helped me find the best local market for my food drive, but she also joined me in packing lunches for the kids on her day off, true dedication, right?
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but considering the experience, I found it acceptable.

Staying at El Beaterio Casa Museo felt like a delightful escape into history. The atmosphere is enchanting, filled with period details like coral walls and a charming internal courtyard full of tropical plants. Breakfast was a treat. the homemade papaya marmalade stood out, and the choices were fresh and enjoyable. The staff, always helpful, made me feel at home, especially when I requested a room change to a sunnier space. Morning coffee remained hot throughout my breakfast, which I really appreciated. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the colonial zone, with a great selection of nearby restaurants like El Buho, where I enjoyed tasty ceviche tropical. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was unavailable during my stay, which surprised me. Despite these issues, the stay was highly enjoyable due to the atmosphere and excellent service.

The ambiance screams historic charm, with coral walls providing a unique backdrop that truly captures the essence of the past. The internal courtyard is a pleasant space to unwind amidst tropical plants.
Rooms feel quite outdated given the location’s character, which could use a refresh—especially when the AC unit and fan are both rather loud. Also, the doors don’t fully seal, allowing mosquitoes to swarm inside, which is less than ideal.

Ready, Set, Regret (Or Not! )
Stepping into a charming boutique hotel feels like a time machine back to the 15th century. Nestled safely in a quiet neighborhood, its lovely courtyard makes breakfast a delightful experience. The staff here are genuinely friendly and eager to help. Perfect location for exploring! No regrets on this lovely stay!

The internal courtyard is detailed with Spanish tile and full of tropical plants.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was marred by several disappointments. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with stains on the sheets that made me uneasy. Additionally, I found the breakfast options to be quite limited, and the service was lacking. I even had to clean off my own table to sit down. It truly felt disheartening considering the hotel's historical charm.

The breakfast included a delicious homemade papaya marmalade that was simply divine! Not to mention the awesome rooftop seating where we kicked back with drinks and enjoyed a chill vibe. Plus, the history surrounding the place was captivating.
The main reception area was a bit toasty during our stay, perhaps a few more fans would help on those hot July days. Also, one receptionist could have been more helpful with arranging our taxi, but we got a handle on using Uber for dinner. Still, everything else was a blast!

Had a great time with my friends! This unique hotel is super close to the Cathedral and Fort, letting us soak up the history. The spacious room was perfect for hanging out, and we loved the friendly staff. The breakfast was tasty, especially the omelets, and the rooftop garden was so relaxing.
We noticed that breakfast options were limited, especially during busy times. Arriving a bit early, we found many platters almost empty, which could use improvement.
